Since it was founded in 1975, EMO has stood for innovation, internationality, inspiration and the future of metalworking worldwide.
As the world's leading trade fair for production technology, it offers a unique platform every two to four years in Hanover under the motto Innovate Manufacturing to establish international contacts, tap into new business opportunities and gain a comprehensive overview of the industry's global offering. Most recently in 2023, over 92,000 visitors from 140 countries and around 1,850 exhibitors took part in this industry highlight.

6th annual conference "AI in industrial production"
The 6th Annual Conference "Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Production" will focus intensively on this topic during the morning, leaving room for questions, discussion and exchange.
In addition to an interactive workshop round, the afternoon will feature specialist presentations aimed in particular at companies with industrial production. How can companies increase their efficiency, reduce costs and improve the quality of their products? Presentations from the field will answer these and other questions.
In addition to the opportunities for professional exchange during the presentations and workshops, there will be plenty of time for networking among all participants during the breaks.
The conference is aimed at managing directors, plant and operations managers, development managers and other managers who are involved in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and/or are about to introduce AI solutions. It is aimed at all manufacturing companies and manufacturers of production technology.

Ü:MO 2025 - ARENA2036
On June 26, 2025, members, project participants and interested parties will come together under the motto "About the future of tomorrow." to talk about pioneering developments in our key research areas.
In addition to the project-oriented program, the event is particularly intended to promote exchange between members and with interested external stakeholders. Numerous projects present themselves and their interim results as part of the project fair - an excellent opportunity to talk about points of contact or completely new projects. During technological deep dives, the possibilities for future and current cooperation can be worked out together. The day will be rounded off with an evening get-together, where a wide selection of food and drinks will be provided.

The IM-X Council is being honored for its international pioneering role in the development of interoperable data ecosystems. The award ceremony will take place on 26.06.2025 as part of the IV BAIDATA Forum in Bilbao - Dominik Rohrmus from LNI 4.0 will accept the award on behalf of the Council.

Japanese-German RRI Symposium in Tokyo
The Robot Revolution & Industrial IoT Initiative (RRI) is the private sector platform for smart manufacturing in Japan. The RRI acts as an open innovation platform for a wide range of stakeholders to collaborate and take concrete action to realize these goals. Since 2016, LNI 4.0, together with the Industry 4.0 platform, has been working with the RRI to advance the areas of standards and international cooperation. The AAS (Administration Shell) and TSN standards have been at the center of joint activities ever since. Direct cooperation with Manufacturing-X and Factory-X is new. Our goal is a shared data economy

First Korean-German Manufacturing-X Forum in Seoul
Since 2020, KOSMO, the Korean Smart Manufacturing Office and LNI 4.0 have been working closely together under a Memorandum of Understanding, which, in addition to the areas of standards and testing, is primarily driving forward the development of international data ecosystems. The forum will therefore discuss Manufacturing-X and, above all, the concrete implementation in Factory-X and deepen the cooperation.

ICTM in Tokyo (Aerospace machining world)
DMG MORI is a project partner of LNI 4.0 at Factory-X. At the conference in Tokyo, the implementation of the Factory-X use case for the aerospace sector will be discussed as an example. DMG MORI turbomachinery is a key factor in increasing efficiency and reducing emissions. The aim of the ICTM is to accelerate technological innovations and transfer them into industrial applications. It utilizes the entire technology portfolio of all members to provide excellent research and development for turbomachinery construction.

Mechanical Engineering Congress ANP
The DIN Standards Practice Committee (ANP) organizes a joint meeting with conference character of all regional, sector and topic groups. The event is organized by the Regional group Bavariaand will take place at Schaeffler in Herzogenaurach in 2024. The ANP discusses relevant industry standardization topics FROM standard users FOR standard users for its employees and interested guests. The topic of the ANP Community Meeting 2024 is: "Sustainability through standardization and digitalization".
LNI 4.0 will explain the data economy and its current standardization activities in a presentation and bring them up for discussion

Europe - the next step! Digitalization, decarbonization and diversification as the cornerstones of a new economic strategy
Europe is undergoing a comprehensive transformation. The economic rise of Central and Eastern Europe and Russia's aggression against Ukraine are shifting the balance on which the European Union has been based for decades. The region's dynamic newcomers are benefiting from this, while at the same time confidently questioning values and certainties. At the same time, the climate crisis and questions of resilience are challenging outdated structures. How does Europe manage the balancing act between environmental protection and industrial location? Where does the continent position itself in the global game of markets and powers? And how will the forces within the EU shift?

Bayern Innovativ's TechDays are a hub for current innovations and their implementation in the industrial environment.
LNI 4.0 will explain the latest developments in the data economy for industry and, in addition to the Manufacturing-X program, demonstrate the practical application of the major Factory-X project. You can look forward to live VR demos of Factory-X use cases.

Mittelstand Digital Congress
The Mittelstand Digital Kongress is dedicated to the question of how SMEs can be familiarized with the possibilities and opportunities of AI in order to win them over to the rapid use of this technology. Examples of successful implementations of data-based applications in SMEs will be presented and practical experiences will be discussed together with company managers. In cooperation with multipliers, the centers from the "Mittelstand-Digital" network will present transfer formats that make AI and other digitalization applications tangible for SMEs. Demonstrators will also be on display to illustrate the often complex topics. The Cybersecurity Transfer Office for SMEs will also be presenting its services, such as the "CYBERsicher emergency aid".

Dutch-German Workshop: Fieldlabs + Manufacturing-X + ASML site visit / Eindhoven / Netherlands
On Wednesday 13 September 2023, German and Dutch industry representatives from LNI 4.0 / Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the Smart Industry fieldlabs will therefore come to the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven. With the aim: how can we give Manufacturing-X hands and feet, transfer and implement it in SMEs?
In addition, best practices from Dutch and German Labs will be exchanged - to evaluate new transfer prototypes for Dataspaces (Manufacturing-X). Representatives from both countries will discuss how Manufacturing-X can be motivated and applied. In addition to the substantive presentations and discussions, there will also be room to visit innovative projects at the Brainport Industries Campus related to the digitization of manufacturing and there will be a guided tour at chip machine manufacturer ASML in Veldhoven. During an informal dinner, there will be plenty of room for networking.
